POSITION: Case Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:   CND is seeking a dedicated individual that will afford the opportunity to serve the adult population diagnosed with mental health and/or substance use disorders served at the outpatient treatment site.  Provide direct services as needed to consumers to evaluate needs, link to resources/services, and help in identifying stability strategies.  Advocates for consumers in a safe and culturally appropriate manner.

REQUIREMENTS:  Education: Bachelor’s degree in human service or behavioral science with one year of experience in the field of mental health and/or substance use treatment.

POSITION: Recovery Support Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:  CND is in search of a motivated Recovery Support Specialist to provide peer recovery support services to individuals with severe mental illness.  The Recovery Support Specialist is a person with a lived experience with mental health and/or substance use disorder.  This person will work with a multidisciplinary team to support the individuals with struggles pertaining to mental health, psychological trauma or substance use.  This position will afford the opportunity to empower individuals who have lived and walked the path of recovery from a lived experience to assist others in their journeys of recovery.

REQUIREMENTS: Education: High School Diploma or GED.   Must have “Lived Experience” with a behavioral health diagnosis.  Certified as a Peer Recovery Specialist preferred.  Minimum two years of sobriety in mental health or substance abuse or homelessness.

POSITION: Mental Health Counselor


POSITION SUMMARY: 
CND is looking for a Mental Health Counselor (MHC) that will use a psychotherapeutic method to help others by focusing on culturally competent mental health to individuals and groups to promote optimum mental health on an outpatient basis.  Diagnose and provide therapeutic counseling to individuals affected by issues of mental health, trauma and or abuse and emotional health issues.

REQUIREMENTS:  Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field.  With Five (5 years of experience in counseling.  Must have an active (LSW, LISW, LPC or LPCC) Independent Licensure is preferred.  At least three years assessing and diagnosing, counseling and treating mental and emotional disorders is required.

POSITION: Mental Health RN

POSITION SUMMARY: CND is searching for an enthusiastic Mental Health Nurse to provide skilled nursing services for our clients that are suffering from Serious Persistent Mental Illnesses.  Understand the needs of the patient and assist with overcoming stigmas associated with mental health disorders alongside of the client’s family.  And work to help client understand the source of his/her disorder.  Provide treatment to clients and ensure medications are correctly administered.  Serious Persistent Mental Illness is a group of severe mental health disorders as defined in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual used by mental health professionals to diagnose clients.

REQUIREMENTS:  Education/Training: Bachelor’s degree preferred, RN with 5 to 10 years’ experience.  Current Ohio RN license.  Experience in substance abuse field with community health experience preferred.  Sensitivity to ethnic, cultural, gender; beliefs, and behaviors.  Health assessment skills and coordination and delegation skills necessary.

POSITION: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

POSITION SUMMARY:  CND is looking for a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner  to evaluate clients, order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests, diagnose illness and disease, prescribe medication and formulate treatment plans for clients with dual diagnosis and/or Severe and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI).   This Nurse Practitioner will work in outpatient setting, will perform independently and work as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.  The Nurse Practitioner will have the opportunity to provide pharmacological and non-pharmacological evidence-based therapies to clients.

REQUIREMENTS:  Master’s degree in Nursing and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification with 2 plus years’ experience.  Current Ohio RN and APRN-CNP license.  Experience in SPMI and community mental health experience preferred.  Mental health assessment skills and coordination and delegation skills necessary.
