POSITION: APPS Intervention Specialist – Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY:
Intervention Specialist will work in our Applications, for Purpose, Pride and Success (APPS) department as a liaison between youth, parents and teachers providing high-risk youth with strategies for violence intervention and crisis response actions that include responding to specific gang-related confrontation, mediating and diffusing hostile tensions, and promoting conflict resolution and peace by building activities in the community and surrounding neighborhoods. These individuals will work with primarily youth and young adults ages 14-23.

REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor’s degree in the social/behavioral sciences or related field is preferred, or a high school diploma or equivalent with three years of professional experience in the social service field.  Bilingual English/Spanish a plus. Must possess a basic understanding of violence intervention and gang awareness and its related problems.  Any combination of training, education, and experience equivalent to considerable (3 – 5 years) full-time employment in progressively responsible counseling or social services, particularly involving youth and gang remediation activity.

POSITION: Clinical Social Worker – Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY:

Works with clinical staff members, mentors them and helps them hone their skills by focusing on ensuring that consumers are receiving the highest quality healthcare services possible. This position will afford the opportunity to serve the adult population diagnosed with mental health and/or substance use disorders served at the outpatient treatment site.   Provide direct services as needed to consumers to evaluate needs, link to resources/services, and help in identifying stability strategies.

REQUIREMENTS: Education:  Masters/Bachelor’s degree in human service or behavioral science with 5 years of experience in the field of mental health and/or substance use treatment.  Independent License required.

POSITION: COVID Resource Specialist – Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY:

This COVID Resource Specialist position will provide outreach, engagement, education, and referral services to individuals impacted by COVID19.  The COVID Resource Specialist is a person with expanded knowledge of available community resources to assist those experiencing crisis because of COVID19.  This person will work in the community and with community-based organizations to identify and support the individuals in crisis resulting from COVID19. This position will afford the opportunity to empower individuals who are experiencing stress and anxiety to become educated regarding COVID19 and to become aware of and linked with community resources.

REQUIREMENTS: Education:  High School Diploma or GED.  Minimum of Two (2) years sobriety in mental health, substance abuse disorders or homelessness.

POSITION: COVID Resource Specialist Supervisor – Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY:

The COVID Resource Specialist Supervisor position is responsible for oversight of the Crisis Counseling team and supervises COVID Resource Specialist.  This position is responsible for maintaining documentation, data reporting and the fidelity of the program.

REQUIREMENTS: Education:  Associate Degree or High School Diploma with Two (2) years of management or supervisory experience.

POSITION: RN – Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY:

This Nurse position will provide skilled nursing services to both opioid dependent patients as well as those individuals that are suffering from Serious Persistent Mental Illnesses (SPMI). Understand the needs of the patient and assist with overcoming stigmas associated with addictions and mental health disorders alongside of the patient’s family.  Provide treatment to patients and ensure medications are correctly administered.  Collaborates with team members within the organization, outside referral sites, and with providers/staff from other mental healthcare settings throughout the County and State.

Understand patient care goals as voiced by the patient, making the patient a major part of his/her treatment and recovery.  Provide advocacy as needed to ensure patient knows and understands his/her rights.  Performs ongoing assessment, intakes, evaluations, triage, teaching, inductions, stabilizations, and monitoring of patients in MAT treatment program.

REQUIREMENTS: Education/Training: Bachelor’s degree preferred, RN with 3-7 years’ experience.  Current Ohio RN license.  Experience in substance abuse field with community health experience preferred.  Ability to delegate tasks to other team members. Experience in SPMI and community mental health experience preferred

POSITION: Prevention Specialist – Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Youth Services Prevention Specialist will provide drug and alcohol awareness directly to targeted populations (K-12) in various settings.  Assists in the development and coordination of substance abuse prevention, working with schools, after school groups, summer day camp, community groups and other agencies. These individuals will work with primarily youth ages Kindergarten through 12th grade.

REQUIREMENTS: Education:  A Bachelor’s degree in the social/behavioral sciences or related field is preferred, or a high school diploma or equivalent with three years of professional experience in the social service field.  Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.  Must possess or be in the process of obtaining Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist (OPCS) certification.

POSITION: Substance Use Disorder/Mental Health (SUD/MH) Counselor – Full Time


POSITION SUMMARY:

Substance Use Disorder/Mental Health professional will work with our Outpatient Treatment clients in a welcoming, empathic, hopeful attitude towards people with co-occurring conditions and supports a philosophy of dual recovery of addictions and mental health disorders.  Engages and welcomes clients in ways that will convey respect for diversity in a culturally appropriate way.  Demonstrates high professional/ethical standards and works well with others as part of the treatment team.  Understand and provide a therapeutic trauma-informed approach by being motivating and encouraging to clients who take responsibility for their lives while in recovery.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in human service or behavioral science with Three (3) years of experience in the field of chemical dependence or mental health treatment with CDCA, LCDC II, LPC or LSW license, or High school diploma or equivalent with LCDCII, LCDC III, or comparable license or certification with Three (3) years’ experience in the field of chemical dependency or mental health treatment. Independent license preferred. Must be knowledgeable of substance abuse trends, 12 step support systems and ASAM criteria for treatment.  For providing Mental Health services you must have a minimum of an LPC or LSW.

POSITION: Peer Supporter – Part-Time (16 hours)

POSITION SUMMARY:

CND is seeking a dedicated and supportive individual with knowledge from their own experience that will utilize a combination of medication and treatment in an integrated manner as an effective means of treating opiate addiction.  The program can house up to 5 men at a time allowing for both individualized attention as well as a supportive environment.  Clients are provided with at least Six (6) hours of group treatment daily and live in a safe and structured environment.

This program will offer a safe living environment, prepared meals, 24/7 staff, Group and Individual counseling, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Wellness and Sober Leisure Activities.

REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or equivalent, personal experience of addiction and recovery.  Certified Peer Recovery Supporter or willing to become one and/or CDCA certified.

All positions require a valid Ohio driver’s license and automobile insurance.  Must pass a criminal background check and a pre-employment drug screening.
